Here’s the thing… I’m a firm believer that each newborn photographer needs to find their WHY in their work… not just becoming a carbon copy of another newborn photographer and the other photographers work.
There are no new poses. No new “techniques” or copyrighted posing/color schemes/whatever else you might see out there that may sound too good to be true. No “only this way will work” in the newborn photography business. Admiring fellow newborn photographers work is fun, but we often start to compare our work to someone else’s work… and when the comparison game starts to take a hold of your thought process, that’s when you and your clients and your business starts to suffer.
When choosing me to be your newborn photography mentor, you are choosing a mentor who is going to challenge you to find your own style and yourself in your work. You are going to be challenged to find YOUR WHY in your newborn photography business. Mentoring in a 1:1 or even a 2:1 setting is intimate. And with intimacy during a mentoring/coaching type of session… you get to dig deeper and walk away with your heart full and your mind running with new ideas for your newborn photography business.
A newborn photography mentoring session with The Newborn Artist begins at 9am (yes… that’s early for me, but it’s worth it!). You’ll come to my home studio, we’ll have some homemade latte’s or tea and get to know each other a little bit more! Then, we will go down to my studio and make sure everything is ready to go for our first client. We will have 2 clients come before lunch. You will have some hands on learning with the baby, but not too much due to liability issues. You have the choice to assist or take pictures… or both!
Then we break for lunch! We’ll go grab some grub at a local joint (my treat), chat and decompress from the sessions.
We will then head back to my home studio to edit and work on the business portion. We should be finished around 6pm- just in time for dinner (a homemade dinner… does that sound appealing? We eat healthy).
We will go over in depth:
- Studio Lighting
- Posing- Newborn, Parent, Sibling, Family
- Newborn Safety
- Wrapping Techniques
- Soothing Baby
- Post Processing
- Business Management & Automation
- Marketing, Website, SEO & Social Media
